About the job
General objective :
The finance coordinator will direct and coordinate all administrative, accounting, and financial services associated with the mission.
As coordinator, he / she is responsible for guaranteeing the financial balance of the mission and for ensuring that all Solidarités International procedures, donor procedures and all laws of the country in which Solidarités International is intervening are respected.
He / she is the point of reference for the mission, and the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters relating to management, accounting and budget monitoring.
Issues and specific challenges
1. Ensure ongoing capacity building and follow-up with the two local partner organizations.
2. Support the development of new financial proposals, including budget preparation.
3. Facilitate the closure of three grants planned for December , ensuring compliance and proper reporting.
4. Implement and monitor Solidarités International mission procedures and logistical tools, ensuring proper use.
5. Serve as the mission’s point of reference and the link with headquarters on all Finance-related matters.
6. Support the team to set up or reopen the Mocimboa base.
Security constraints
Security context can change quickly. Day-to-day security monitoring is compulsory. Pemba security is Level 2
Your profile
Education / academic background :
Technical skills
1. Previous experience of UN agencies desired.
2. Previous experience in unstable environment (conflict / post conflict country)
3. Experience of both HR and Finance management
4. Knowledge of Saga and Homere software
5. Knowledge of Solidarites rules, tools, and procedures an asset
6. Training and capacity building skills
Transversal skills
1. At least 3 years of relevant experience in an international NGO, in similar context. 2. Leadership among the team. 3. Capacity to work under pressure in a tense security environment.
Language :
1. English (mandatory) 2. Portuguese ( preferable)
SI will offer you
A salaried position :
According to experience, starting from EUR gross per month ( base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD .
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks : During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one additional rest day per month worked.
Insurance package : Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.

Pemba is a peaceful and quiet coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, fresh seafood, and a relaxed atmosphere. There is no curfew, and it is safe to walk around during the day.
