Position Overview

iDE is seeking the recruitment of a Business Development Coordinator (BDC). She / he will play a key role in the organization’s growth and sustainability by identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and funding opportunities. This position is responsible for researching potential donors, identifying / proposing business opportunities, and creatively liaising with iDE’s international BD network in preparing high-quality proposals for application. This position also involves working in coordination with other colleagues in the Mozambique Programs unit and building relationships with key stakeholders to support the organization’s mission and programs and to advance the organization’s visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The key responsibilities of the BDC will include the following :

Identify and Assess Funding Opportunities :

• In collaboration with the Regional BD Manager and HQ, support the development and implementation of a BD strategy to achieve annual and multi-year funding targets.
• Research and identify potential donors, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
• Coordinate opportunity assessment processes, including go / no-go decision-making and capture planning, collaborating closely with the Regional BD Manager and Country leadership.
• Lead the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities for iDE Mozambique.
• Under the guidance of the Regional BD Manager, develop and update opportunity tracker tools for the country program.
